The India-Philippines 9th Policy Consultations and 3rd Security Dialogue were held in Manila on 29-30 October 2009. The Indian delegation was led by H.E. Mr. Neelakantan Ravi, Secretary (East) in the Ministry of External Affairs and included H.E. Mr. Rajeet Mitter, Ambassador of India to the Philippines and other delegates. The Philippines delegation was led by H.E. Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, Under Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs and included H.E. Mr. Antonio Santos, Under Secretary, DND and other delegates.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the leader of the Indian delegation H.E. Mr. N. Ravi handed over a cheque of $ 100,000 from the Government of India in favour of the National Disaster Coordination Council as a token of India’s support and solidarity with the Government and the people of the Philippines for the continuing relief measures being undertaken for those affected by the typhoons “Ondoy” and “Pepeng”.
