As India and ASEAN complete twenty years of dialogue partnership and ten years of summit-level dialogue, two important events are taking place in New Delhi where prominent figures from India and ASEAN member countries look at the future growth of our relations with their considerably enhanced potential in the current Asian and global context.
The Government of India, in cooperation with the Institute of South East Asian Studies (ISEAS), Singapore and SAEA Research Group, Singapore, is organizing “Delhi-Dialogue III” from 3-4 March, 2011, on the theme ‘Beyond the First Twenty Years of India-ASEAN Engagement’. The participants include Ministers, senior officials, representatives of Think Tanks from the participating countries and other analysts. This conference is also being covered by Indian and ASEAN journalists; the latter would be separately visiting Mumbai, Bangalore and Agra as well as the leading business houses, Indian Space Research Organization, Indian Institute of Science and prominent political personalities etc.

The Indian authorities have also organized “India-ASEAN Business Meet” from 2-6 March, 2011, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce Industry (FICCI). Secretary, Department of Trade and Industry, Hon’ble Gregory Domingo, is leading a high level official and business delegation for this Meet. Apart from meeting the Indian leadership, at the highest level, he will be interacting with prominent business personalities in New Delhi and Bangalore to explore possibilities for further strengthening our rapidly growing economic cooperation.
